re: Saruman Fight in Tower

0

This is a write up of how it works, Cabre wrote it up, I would like all that have been there to look it over and see if you think anything needs to be changed.
At this time we will try to follow it as best we can. Theres is a lot here and i don't expect everyone to remember it all, but try to read it all a few times so as a group we can probably get it all down, ty

Assigning the Rings
All rings will have assigned characters based on needs and use of rings.

Ring of Shadow - Captain
Ring of Frost - Lore Master or Burglar
Ring of lightning/storm - Captain or Champion
Ring of fire - Captain or Champion
Ring of Acid/Venom - Lore Master or Burglar

Reasoning
Frost Ring will always have a Crowd Control Character based because this is the ring that will de-buff a Saruman clone adaptation.
Shadow Ring will always have a Captain based because at the intro of the fight the Captain will use Routing Cry on the Shadow Clone to hold agro.
Venom/Acid Ring will always have a crowd control character because Venom does two different effects during the 5 phases. In Phase 2 he places a Red Aura that encompasses a fellowship member. In phase 4 and 5 Venom drops an acid puddle that does DoT.
The remaining two rings, Storm and Fire, are assigned based on need to transfer the buffs and de-buffs to those fellowship members that DO-NOT have a ring.

What the Rings Do
Ring of lightning: (ally) -400% all skill inductions / -200% attack duration
Ring of lightning: (damage) 61,216 damage attack that appears to chain lightning multiple mobs.

Ring of Frost: (ally) applys damage preventing temporary bubble of 250,000 health, +2400% perceived threat
Ring of Frost: (damage) Wield the power of frost to assault Saruman by suppressing adaptations.

Ring of Shadow: (ally) on any damage 50% chance to receive the effect: all fellowship members within 10 meters restore 100% morale
Ring of Shadow: (damage) Wield the power of shadow to assault Saruman by creating a corrupt weakness to exploit

Ring of Acid: (ally) Applies a damage preventing bubble granting 250,000 temporary power. This also puts 100% reflect on the target.
Ring of Acid: (damage) Sets armour value of target to 0, sets resistance of target to 0 (12 seconds)

Ring of fire: (ally) +100% melee/ranged/tactical damage, +25% devastate magnitude, +100% devastate chance, +25% melee/ranged/tactical crit chance.
Ring of Fire: (damage) 11291 damage to target (I found you must be pointing at the target or it seems to miss)

Ring Maneuvers
Each phase, 1 through 4 we will be practicing ring maneuvers based on the rings uses. The objective will be to use specific rings in unison for maximum damage against a targeted Saruman Clone. Each ring holder will have an assigned Saruman Clone to damage or fellowship member to apply a debuff to with their ring.
Ring Group One:
Acid Ring Holder - De-buff will be targeting the Shadow Saruman Clone.
Lighting Ring Holder-Buff will be targeting a DPS fellowship member without a ring.
Fire Ring Holder - Buff will be targeting a DPS fellowship member without a ring.
By using these rings in this order and in unison we will be removing the armor value of the targeted Saruman (The Shadow) to zero and applying two buffs to assigned fellowship members that will maximize the DPS on the Shadow Saruman. It is critical that the group goes in unison when applying the rings.
Ring Group Two:
Lighting Ring Holder - De-buff will be targeting a Saruman Clone.
Fire Ring Holder - De-buff and will be targeting a Saruman Clone.
These two rings are single use with specified amount of damage that is applied to Saruman regardless of the armor value.
All rings are a single use with a 30 second cool down before you can apply the remain buff or de-buff to said target. Would love to apply all the rings at once but this is what the game is giving us to work with. The point of using these rings in unison is to eliminate the shadow Saruman ASAP! An example how this might be used during the Phases is the Raid leader would call out:
"Ring group one target your assigned Saruman clone/fellowship member and when I say "Mark" in unison you apply your assigned ring". Raid leader should wait several seconds to allow for targeting then give the order to "Mark". It is recommended that Champs have fervor potions and Hunters have Focus potions both have a +30 Devastate Magnitude for 30s. These potions are consumed prior to hitting your assigned clone/member.

The Game Phases
Phase One: Tank and Spank
Main Tank takes Frost Clone and Storm Clone
Off Tank takes Fire clone
Position of tanks is critical for each stage and will be assigned before the stage begins.
Preferred Kill Order
Shadow - Heals and Healing Circles
Venom/Acid - Red Aura and Acid Clouds
Fire - Floor fire
Storm - Lighting
Frost - source of potable de-buffs
To start fight: Main tank will position between Shadow Ring and Frost Ring. Off tank will position himself to the left of Fire Ring. Mini's will be positioned to the right and left side of the Shadow Ring.
The rest of the Fellowship members without a ring will be positioned behind the Shadow Ring unless assigned to a different task. The fight begins with each ring holder taking a ring with the Shadow Ring holder taking his ring last. When the remaining Shadow Ring is taken there is approximately 6 seconds before the Saruman Clones appear. These 6 seconds will allow for positioning before the fight begins.
1. The Frost Ring holder will apply his buff to the main tank. This should be timed so that before the 6 seconds expire and the Saruman clones appear but not too early that limits the amount of buff applied from this ring. The Frost ring gives the tank a buff that does +2400 threat and 250000 morale for 12 seconds. This should allow the main tank to pick up both his assigned Saruman Clones. The two tanks will gather up there assigned clones and position themselves with their backs against a door.

2. The Venom ring holder will remain in their position and stun the Venom Saruman clone. Depending on the stun length the holder of the Frost Ring will apply his De-buff ring to the Venom Saruman as the original stun winds down to remove adaptation and apply another Stun.

3. The DPS group will start eliminating the Shadow clone using ring damage and DPS skills. The DPS group will also be practicing interrupting the Shadow Clone from healing using Champions clobber and Hunters Blindside. These interrupts should be assigned for example the first interrupt goes to a Champion the next to a Hunter then repeat.

4. Once the Shadow clone has been eliminated the group moves to:
Venom Clone
Fire Clone
Storm Clone
Frost Clone.

Phase II: The Environmental Stage
During this stage someone in the group will get a red aura that encompasses them. They need to call out their character name to the healers to be healed to 100% health to remove the red aura.
The same strategy in Phase one will apply in phase two. What we are looking for is by stunning the Venom/Acid clone then using the adaption ring then repeat the stun this should incapacitate the Venom/Acid clone from targeting a member with the red aura until the group attacks this clone.
Preferred Kill order:

Shadow - Heals and Healing Circles
Venom/Acid - Red Aura and Acid Clouds
Fire - Floor fire
Storm - Lighting
Frost - source of potable de-buffs

Phase III The Potable Stage

Each fellowship member will need a minimum of 30 x level 80 pots for Fear, Poison, Wound and disease. During this stage a fellowship member will get a potable effect placed upon them. That fellowship member will have 8 seconds to remove the effect with their level 80 pots or the effect will be given to any group members within 15 meters of the effected fellowship member. Having Buff-bars for this stage would be extremely helpful. Please ask for more information about Buff-bars.

The Frost Clone is the source of the potable effects so this stage will start out different.

Main tank (positioned between Storm & Fire to draw agro) will pick up Storm and Fire clones and pull them to the door so their backs are to the group.

Off tank picks up Venom clone and pulls him to the door turning him away from the group.

Frost Ring holder will stun the Frost Clone, then use adaption removal ring to stun again.

DPS Group will start on the Shadow Clone using the same ring order to eliminate Shadow quickly then move to the Frost Clone. By keeping the Frost clone stunned we hope to reduce the number of potable effects. The DPS group should be using all interruptions on the Frost clone.

Preferred Kill order:

Shadow
Frost
Fire
Storm
Venom

Phase IV The Puddle Phase

During this phase the Clones will place puddles around the area that cause damage to the Fellowship and heal the Clones.
Shadow Clone puts down a healing cloud (Green?)
Venom Clone puts down acid puddles (Yellow?)

The same strategy that was used in phase one and two will be used in this stage.
The Venom ring holder will stun the Venom Clone.

As the stun wears off Venom Clone the Frost ring holder will apply the
adaptation ring then stun the Venom clone again.

Main Tank will pick up the Frost and Storm Clone

Off Tank picking up the Fire Clone.

DPS group will beat down the Shadow Clone quickly then move to the Venom Clone. As with every stage the champs and hunters should interrupt these two clones as much as possible.

Preferred Kill Order:

Shadow
Venom
Fire
Frost
Storm

Phase V: Saruman Clones from Hell

This is the last and final stage. During this stage you will get two of each Saruman Clone for a total of 10 clones. Also during this stage all the effects the Saruman clones have will be used to double your pleasure. Here is where it gets a little tricky with several different strategies that can be executed.

The fight starts that same as stage one, two and four.

Main Tank takes Frost Clone and Storm Clone to the door and turns them away from the group.

Off Tank will take the Fire Clone to the door and turns him away from the group.

Assigned Crowd Control players will line up right beside the two Venom Clones with one taking the right clone the other taking the left clone. The Venom clones are to be stunned at the same time this will in theory stop the acid clouds until we attack these clones. We should eliminate one Shadow clone before the two Venom Clones stuns wear off.

The Frost Ring Holder will use their adaptation ring on one of the Venom Clones to continue the stun.

Assigned Champion is to confront the Venom Clone that is not stunned to draw agro and use interruptions to prevent this clone from casting his acid effects.

Once the Shadow Clones is eliminated

DPS group will move to the stunned Venom clone and proceed to eliminate that clone as quickly as possible. Champions should be using interruptions to prevent that Venom clone from casting acid cloud/puddle. During this phase if a cloud is placed down the group will always move clockwise.

DPS group moves to the Lightening Clones next stunning one and eliminating
the other.

Rinse and repeat with the remaining clones.

Preferred Kill order:

Shadow
Venom
Storm
Frost
Fire

The Eye Above Players Head

During Phase V the Lighting Clones cast an eye above your head. This is a signal that they are going to attempt to kick you off the roof. It's critical that the main tank keeps his back against a door and the Lighting Clones back to the group. From what I've read if the lighting clones can't see you they cannot cast an eye on you. So the main tank will take the brunt of these kicks. If the main tank gets kicked just go back and maintain your position with your back against the door. If any other member gets the eye you can either back up against a door or run to the centre.

Recommended fellowship maneuvers first would be "Chill of the Bone" GYYYYB to be applied first on Shadow Clone then "Pure of Heart" GGGBBB to be applied after. Each fellowship member will have an assigned fellowship number prior to the fight.
